The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed wide receiver Dante Pettis as part of their recent moves. Pettis, who played for the 49ers in the past, was one of several players the 49ers worked out. Among the players the 49ers looked at was Jerry Rice's son Brenden Rice. The team also cut a defensive lineman. The signing reconnects Pettis with the 49ers after a previous unsuccessful try.
