Governor Kathy Hochul has assigned Attorney General Letitia James to take charge of the Cornell gang-rape investigation. This decision follows the 2024 ruling not to prosecute, as revealed in recently unlocked documents. The documents include Jane Doe's story from transcripts. The governor directed the attorney general to supervise the investigation, citing the necessity for a comprehensive review. The case had previously been handled by the district attorney.
