Members of Parliament have advocated reforming the BBC's fee structure. They recommend cutting costs and broadening financial support to include areas outside of television. MPs also recommend abolishing the BBC's charter review and preventing the broadcaster from outbidding commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to solve the BBC's operational difficulties as it faces a key turning point. The recommendations come amid ongoing discussions about the broadcaster's next steps.
